An interesting post on Penang Malaysia.

Accessible from both SkyAvenue and the newly opened Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park, Trattoria Il Lago is one of the latest restaurants that have recently joined the clamoring SkyAvenue. Like its name suggested, the restaurant offers an Italian-focused menu where diners get to find Antipasti, Pizza, Pasta and various Italian delights. The price points seem affordable amongst the restaurants in SkyAvenue but the quality can be further improved.

Cacio E Pepe (Rm 28)

Bread Basket (Rm 16)

Mediterranean Pizza (Rm 21)

We started with Bread Basket served with spicy Mashed Eggplant and Olive Tapenade but the bread was way too dry and we thought we were eating biscuits. The mashed Eggplant had not done much in its aid either, we thought it was quite bland… we struggled to finish the bread. Equally bad was the Mediterranean Pizza which was something like Focaccia instead of the Pizza that we are familiar with. The texture was amazingly dry as if it was left there for days. We also tried Cacio E Pepe- beetroot Spaghetti served with creamy Cheese sauce… the texture of the Spaghetti was a little mushy soft but the Cheese sauce was not too shabby but not a dish that I would like to order again.
