An interesting post about Malaysia.

Though a little off the beaten track, The Coffee Cottage had a successful debut thanks to its picturesque, rustic country cottage style landscape. The cafe is well-hidden in a residential neighborhood of Nibong Tebal so you might need a navigation system to reach there if you are not familiar with Nibong Tebal. The cafe comprises of a few annexes- built from some unused scrap materials like old car and wood; they are then refurbished and put together creating an unusual but quaint space perfect for photo-taking. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available but the indoor seating is not air-conditioned so you will have to embrace the sweltering tropical heat. The Coffee Cottage does not serve main menu but only some drinks and desserts.

Banana Toffee Pie (Rm 17)

The Banana Toffee Pie was a pick from the display fridge- the crust was Digestive Biscuit with a salty essence, the middle filling was Banana and topped with melted Marshmallow as well as Chocolate chips. The combo was lovely- the Banana introduced the flavor, the Digestive Biscuit was crumbly and salty while the Marshmallow offered a creamy smooth texture. If we may suggest, we thought the crust was overly crumbly and shattered with the nudge of the fork. The Classic Waffle features Belgian Waffle drizzled Salted Caramel and served with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream and Earl Grey Ice Cream. The Belgian Waffle had the distinctive slightly chewy texture but it was no longer crispy the time we had it… probably due to the time taken to photograph the dish. The flavor combo was alright with the Earl Grey Ice Cream scoring a lot for this dish… for its bold, strong tea flavor. The drizzle of Salted Caramel might be a little too generous causing the dessert to be slightly too sweet to our liking.
