GEORGE TOWN: AYAM Brand brought cheers to residents of four charity homes in Penang when it donated two months’ worth of canned food to them.
A large crate of sardine, mackerel, tuna, baked beans and other products was distributed to the homes recently.
The donation was made under its Convenient, Healthy and Nutritious Meals for Charity corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
The programme, which is in its fifth year, will see the distribution of Ayam Brand foodstuff sufficient to feed the residents for two months at 43 charity homes across 10 regions in West and East Malaysia, benefiting over 2,000 underprivileged children with convenient, wholesome and nutritious meals.
Rumah Permata Kasih, Wisma Anak Kesayangan, St Nicholas Home for the Blind and Penang Shan Children’s Home were the beneficiaries in Penang.
A. Clouet & Co Sdn Bhd product manager Khoo Wooi Ling said the contribution was aimed at helping the underprivileged in a tangible and meaningful way.
