TNG eWallet PayDirect feature now available for parking payments

March 11, 2021 By Keith Leave a Comment

An informative article about Penang.

PayDirect, a feature within the Touch ‘n Go eWallet to allow TNG card transactions at the toll booth using your eWallet balance, has now been rolled out for parking payments.

Called PayDirect Parking, the new feature works similar to the existing service where the parking fee – if applicable – will be deducted directly from your TNG eWallet balance, instead of the credit within the physical TNG card.

Alibaba Group

The new PayDirect Parking feature is currently only available at the following six locations, though the company says that more locations will be introduced soon:

  • Tempat Letak Kereta Awam, Kompleks C, Putrajaya
  • Republik Damansara Heights
  • Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang Jaya
  • Vortex KLCC
  • The Curve, Mutiara Damansara
  • Gurney Paragon Mall, Penang

The service was launched officially earlier this month at Gurney Paragon Mall, though it was actually already offered at the five Klang Valley locations as part of the initial beta test.

Electronic toll collection

In line with their earlier announcement this year to remove all surchages for parking payments, there will be no surcharges when you pay for your parking fee with the PayDirect Parking feature.

Existing users will not have to carry out any additional registrations to take advantage of this new feature. As for new customers, the feature will be automatically activated when you tie your physical TNG card to the TNG eWallet application.

Klang Valley

In conjunction with the official launch of the PayDirect Parking feature, Gurney Paragon Mall is now offering a 20% cashback for those who pay their parking fee using the new feature. The promo is available until 30 April 2021, but is limited to the first 10,000 redemptions and only one cashback per user, capped at RM1.

More information regarding the new PayDirect Parking feature can be found on Touch ‘n Go’s official FAQ page, linked here.
