Available on Christmas Eve at Sarkies Cafe, the Unlimited À la Carte Dinner menu features an elegant array of seafood and meat offerings for RM150 nett (adult) and RM80 nett (children).

For the start, you will find appetizers, salads, and a variety of soft to hard cheeses served with crackers, dried fruits, and accompaniments. Alongside are creative cold platters of terrines, and galantine of turkey with chestnuts stuffing. The marinated salmon also made an appearance and the fish with delicate oil coupled with fragrant herbs can be paired literally well with any salads.

With the on-going refurbishment of the Heritage Wing and 1885 Restaurant, Eastern & Oriental Hotel (E&O) now offers dining, drinking and lounging at both the Planters Lounge and Poolside Terrace on the 6th floor of Victory Annexe. Expect to find dining options, from Sunday Roast and English Afternoon Tea at Planters Lounge, and Dinner By The Pool at Poolside Terrace.

The Dinner By The Pool experience at Poolside Terrace is best described as a four-course meal by the infinity pool, and one with a lovely view of the Andaman Sea. The restaurant carries through the open and airy feel of its surroundings, with its high ceiling.

The four-course menu is available for dinner at RM230.85 nett per pax and can be paired with wine which is listed by the glass or bottle. Let the taste buds explore the gourmet salad, soup of the day, and dessert of the day, followed by a choice of mains – pan-seared salmon loin or grain fed beef fillet mignon.

The gourmet salad with a play of colors, texture, and flavors is created with the freshness of greens, and a mix of capsicum, zucchini and baby tomatoes.

The salad herald in the creamy mushroom soup, followed by the main course. The pan-seared salmon loin is served with arugula leaves, shellfish oil, garden greens and with a tomato salsa providing a zesty sharp burst.

For those who prefer something heavier, grain fed beef fillet mignon is also available, served with creaminess of fondant potato, enoki tempura, and ginger soy glaze. A dessert of the day completes the menu.

Throughout the dinner, diners can enjoy different moods, but best with the glows at sunset.
