An informative post on Malaysia.
If you’ve seen our VLOG of the RM1 million BMW M850i Coupe xDrive, you’d know that it can be tame and gentle, but also ferociously quick on-demand. Tuning it up for more “oomph” should be the last thing on your mind.

However, if you insist to squeeze more juice out of the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, AC Schnitzer with the support of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure in Germany wants to show that you can safely extract more power from a car.
This initiative is in conjunction with the annual “TUNE IT! SAFE!” campaign by the Association of German Automobile Tuners (VDAT).
For starters, the V8 engine has been massaged to now produce 620 hp and a disturbing 840 Nm! Frightening figures as the standard output of 530 hp and 750 Nm was already plenty enough to wet your pants!

To heighten the exhilaration, AC Schnitzer also fitted an exhaust system with dual flaps and carbon tailpipes. These comply with local regulations on noise emissions.
The ride of the M850i has been lowered by 30 mm at the front and 25 mm at the rear using AC Schnitzer springs. The springs were tested on the Nurburgring before being fitted into the car.
Filling the wheel arches are AC Schnitzer AC3 Flow Forming rims with a matte anthracite finish. All four corners are 21-inch in size, wrapped in Hankook S1 Evo 3 tyres – 255 mm for the front pair and 295 mm for the rear.

In terms of body kit, AC Schnitzer’s influence can be seen on the front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and spoiler; all made of carbon fibre. AC Schnitzer said aside from increasing the aesthetic appeal of the car, it also improves downforce.
Inside, AC Schnitzer added aluminium gear shift paddles set, aluminium pedals and a footrest. The key holder and cover for the Drive controller is also made of aluminium.
While it may not necessarily be a real cop car, sure makes for a striking one, don’t you think?
