Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, Penang becomes one of the top 50 best hotels in the world

Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, Penang was selected by travel writers of the online version of the Daily Telegraph newspaper in the United Kingdom (UK) as one of “The 50 Best Hotels in the World.” The selection was announced on 31 December 2010.
The Daily Telegraph is the leading newspaper in the United Kingdom with a daily circulation of over 600,000 copies, surpassing other dailies such as the Times, Guardian and Independent. The Daily Telegraph’s online version is the third most visited United Kingdom newspaper website with 1.7 million daily browsers.
Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, Penang is the only Malaysian and Shangri-La property to be awarded this recognition, and it is part of an elite group of eight Asian properties on the list. Other prestigious hotels on the list include The Carlyle in New York, The Dorchester in London, the Park Hyatt Tokyo, Hotel Ritz Madrid, Hôtel de
