An informative post about Malaysia.
Huawei has announced its plan to release the nova 8 in Malaysia on 27 August. It is a long time coming though given the fact that this phone was originally launched in China back in December last year.
That being said, the variant for Malaysia will be carrying a Kirin 820E processor instead of the original Kirin 985 chip though. Other parts of the phone remained the same including the curved 6.57-inch Full HD+ 90Hz OLED display that also houses a punch hole 32MP selfie camera and under-display fingerprint sensor.
As for the main photography arsenal of nova 8, it includes a 64MP f/1.9 camera alongside an 8MP ultra-wide and a pair of 2MP cameras for depth as well as macro shots. The nova 8 relies on a 3800mAh battery to keep it operational and the phone also supports the 66W Huawei SuperCharge charger which allows it to gain back its battery capacity in full with just 35 minutes of charging time.
When it was launched in China last year, the nova 8 was priced at RMB3,299 (~RM2,153) although as mentioned earlier, the original model was equipped with a more superior chip. It is possible that the phone will cost much lower in Malaysia, so we will have to wait until next week to learn more.
